Process for iMessage Setup
1. Preliminary Checks
- Make sure the MUCHO eSIM is activated and selected as the primary line for calls/SMS.
- Réglages > Données cellulaires > Ligne par défaut = MUCHO (ou Principal ou le nom que vous avez donné à la SIM MUCHO)
- Check that the MUCHO line can send SMS (required to activate iMessage).
- Check that your Internet connection (Wi-Fi or 4G/5G) is working.
2. Disable and Re-enable iMessage
- Go to Settings > Messages.
- Deactivate iMessage.
- Restart the iPhone.
- Return to Settings > Messages and reactivate iMessage.
⚠️ The iPhone automatically sends an international SMS to Apple to activate iMessage. This is usually immediate, but can take up to 24 hours.
3. Check MUCHO number association
- In Settings > Messages > Send and receive.
- Check that your MUCHO number appears and is ticked.
- If only the Apple ID email is checked → wait a few minutes or repeat the deactivation / reactivation process.
4. Do the same for FaceTime
- Settings > FaceTime > Deactivate / Reactivate.
- Check that the MUCHO number is ticked in Reachable at.
5. Troubleshooting steps (if unsuccessful)
- Vérifiez que la date/heure est réglée en automatique.
- Make sure your iPhone is up to date(iOS).
- Remove and reinsert the (e)SIM (or reboot after activation).
- If still blocked: contact MUCHO to check that the line can send/receive SMS, or Apple Support if the problem persists on the Apple activation side.
